Sickness
Leena & Larissa haven't gotten to school at all this week. Apparently there is a bug or something going around & they have it. Or so we thought. They both have had high fevers (103-104) & lots of coughing. Dagmar said it was croup. But today, Larissa woke up with a really bad stomach ache. I called Dagmar, who was at school, & asked what I should do since we couldn't get a hold of Emma, the grandmother. She said to call Gisela, who is the lady across the street who teaches me German, & ask her to call the doctor to see if I could bring Larissa in. The doctor believes that Larissa has appendicitis & should stay the night at the hospital for observation. So I have no clue what's going on since Emma took Larissa to the hospital. Hopefully it isn't appendicitis so she doesn't have to have surgery, but who knows!

Yikes, appendicitis is pretty bad--but how likely is it that both girls would have that at the same time? Unless you've been screwing with their diets a lot?
Oh well, I'll light a candle and ask St. Luke to look after them...he was a doctor, after all.
Get some rest--I'm sure those German socialist hospitals will take care of Larissa.
Also, the new blog layout is going to take some getting used to. It seems very mod for you.
Tell St. Luke thanks! 'cause it worked. No appendicitis. Can we just pray that at least one of them goes to school tomorrow? Though that is wishful thinking on my part. And we never thought that both had appendicitis. Leena just has whatever is going around & I think Larissa does too. Between their 2 classes, they had 20 kids out of school & one of th teachers.
