Stonehenge ... & OCHS?!?!

Next we hopped on the bus for an hour's journey to Stonehenge, which, believe it or not, is next to an interstate (or whatever the big main roads are here)! Stonehenge really is just a bunch of rocks. Like Avebury, they have no clue what exactly it was used for though there is belief that Merlin helped create it. And supposedly, every hour, the sun casts a perfect shadow through each stone, making it into a clock as well.

Here's Stonehenge, in all of it's rocky glory. :-)

Me, again, in front of Stonehenge

So, now for the OCHS reference. Some of the girls & I made it around the rocks quite quickly, partly because we were cold due to the very brisk wind. We're sitting down outside the little cafe talking, and, as you can see in the photos, I am wearing an OCHS hoody. A guy comes up to me, asks if I went to OCHS. I look at him strangely, say yes & am trying to place his voice since he has sunglasses on. Come to find out, it is Chris (Scotty) McCarty, one of Drew Knott's friends & a former OCHS cross country team member! So the comment out of my mouth is, "What the hell are you doing here?!?!" Well, he is at the University of Reading for the semester! He's a Junior at Centre, which he informed me is FAR superior to Transy (whatever). So yeah, we run into each other at Stonehenge & I just happen to be wearing an Owensboro Catholic hoody, cause who in their right mind would have one other than an OCHS grad? So I immediately called Cynda when I got home to tell her & Scotty was calling his mom when he got back! It's craziness is what it is!

Well, it's a small world!
